Ⅰ. Project Background:
In July 2024, KEHENG received an inquiry from a German customer for IBC mixer for mixing viscous liquids, along with a sample picture of a similar product. In order to accurately judge the design parameters of the mixer, we asked the customer the following key information: mixing medium, tank size, the opening size of IBC tank, blade shape requirements, material requirements, etc. These datas will become the basis for our subsequent technical evaluation and equipment selection design.
Ⅱ. Preliminary Design Scheme:
Subsequently, the customer provided more detailed information: the mixing medium is epoxy resin, the tank is a standard 1000L IBC tank, the material is stainless steel, and the blades ware required to adopt a special horn shape. In addition, the customer also proposed an additional requirement: the design of a material filling port, which can be easily injected into the IBC tank at any time during the mixing process.
Throughout the data collection process, the customer showed a high degree of cooperation and enthusiasm, which helped us to quickly clarify the solution details. This also reflects one of our major characteristics - non-standard customization. We will design according to characteristics of the mixing medium, tank size, operating conditions, blade speed, materials and other factors, to ensure that each customer gets an efficient and suitable mixer solution. Detailed customer data support is the basis of our efficient custom design, helping us to design the mixer that best meets the requirements of the project.
Ⅲ. Customer Feedback and Scheme Modification:
After the completion of the preliminary design scheme, the customer conducted a review and proposed specific modification suggestions, mainly including the following points:
1. The blade needs to have a certain tilt;
2. Two lifting lugs need to be installed to facilitate forklift handling;
3. The mixer needs to be firmly installed on the ton drum;
4. It is required to be equipped with a safety switch to ensure that it will not automatically start after power off;
5. The opening size of IBC tank is 150mm.
Based on customer’s feedback, we quickly optimized and improved the design:
1. Blade design: the horn of the blade is designed to be 25° inclined angle, to improve the mixing effect;
2. Add lifting lugs: add two lifting lugs to the beam support, to ensure that the handling process is more safe and convenient;
3. Fixed design: add two clamps to fix the mixer on the IBC tank, to ensure its stability during operation;
4. Safety switch: equipped with motor protection switch device to prevent automatic restart of equipment after power failure, improve safety;
5. Inlet adjustment: according to the 150mm opening size, the diameter of the horn is adjusted to ensure that the blade can enter the IBC tank smoothly.
Ⅳ. Contract signing and production process:
The customer was satisfied with the improved design that a formal contract was quickly signed. After receiving the payment from customer, we immediately began to purchase raw materials and arrange production.
During the production process, in order to let customers know the progress of the project in real time, we regularly send photos and videos of the production site, and report the completion of each step to ensure that the production progress is in line with expectations.
Features:
1.Clamps
2. Motor protection switch
3. Feed port
4. Special impellers
Ⅴ. Test and delivery:
After the mixer assembly is completed, we simulate the customer's mixing application scenario for testing, to ensure that the IBC mixer can run smoothly and achieve the expected effect. We thoroughly evaluate the performance of our mixer to ensure that it meets our customers' high standards under actual operating conditions.
At present, the IBC mixer has been successfully delivered to our customer. We look forward to the efficient operation of the equipment in the production line of our German customer, provide stable support for their epoxy mixing project.
